Frequently asked questions
How much should I dose?
Dosage depends on pool volume and the current reading, so test before dosing rather than adding to a schedule. As a guide, target free chlorine at 1 to 3 ppm, pH between 7.2 and 7.6, and total alkalinity between 80 and 120 ppm. We will calculate exact quantities for your pool if you send its dimensions.
Why does my chlorine disappear so quickly?
Almost always low stabiliser. Sunlight in Oman destroys unstabilised chlorine within hours, so without cyanuric acid at 30 to 50 ppm you are dosing water that loses it again the same afternoon. Test stabiliser before assuming the chlorine itself is at fault.
How should pool chemicals be stored?
In a cool, dry, shaded place, sealed, and never stacked together. Chlorine and acid must be kept apart — mixing them releases toxic gas. Always add chemicals to water, never water to chemicals, and dose after sunset so sunlight does not destroy the product before it works.
