How often do cartridges need changing?
Sediment and carbon cartridges are normally changed every six months. In Oman that interval is often shorter because the supply carries more suspended solids than the rating assumes. If flow at the tap has dropped noticeably, the cartridge is already overdue.
Can I rinse and reuse a cartridge?
Pleated cartridges can be rinsed and reused a few times. Spun and carbon cartridges cannot — carbon is exhausted chemically, not just blocked, so washing it achieves nothing. Replace those rather than cleaning them.
