Can I change the media myself?
It is possible but heavy and awkward, and the laterals underneath break easily if the old bed is removed carelessly. We carry out media changes across Oman including disposal of the spent bed and a full commissioning afterwards.
How often does filter media need changing?
Sand and multimedia beds typically last three to five years; softener resin lasts longer but loses capacity gradually. Media rounds off and channels over time, which lets water pass without being filtered. If backwashing no longer restores performance, the bed is due.
